Uganda: We Don't Have the Post-Mortem Report, Says Akena Family

Kitgum — The family of Kenneth Akena Watmon, who died after a shooting incident around Lugogo in Kampala, have disputed claims by the police that they were given a copy of Akena's postmortem report.

Mr Akena succumbed to bullet wounds on the morning of last Sunday and a postmortem was carried out on his body at Mulago hospital, after which the police confirmed that a bullet had been recovered from his abdomen. According to the law, the deceased's family is entitled to a copy of the postmortem.
