The Sixth International Conference on Pulses, Oilseeds and Spices was conducted on November 16 and 17 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Addis Ababa. Participants came from all over the world, including over 90 foreign trade delegates and 200 local delegates.
The conference revolved around strengthening international business linkages and reviewing the state of the international market for pulses, spices and oilseeds. Pulses are an under researched and underutilized part of the agriculture market, according to Huseyin Arslan, the President of the Global Pulse Confederation.
