Uganda: Rights Activists Condemn Recent Kasese Killings

Kampala — Human rights activists on Wednesday condemned Kasese killings and the manner in which Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere was arrested, referring to it as dehumanising and demeaning before the people he leads.

The head of advocacy and research at Human Rights Network (HURINET), Mr Patrick Tumwine, said they were shocked and dismayed by the ghastly pictures of wanton mayhem and blood-letting in Kasese awash in the media since the recent hostilities in Rwenzori sub-region.
