Somalia's semi-autonomous Puntland troops have retaken control of the seaside city of Qandala located in Bari region from pro-Islamic state militants on Sunday after a combat.
The regional forces have launched last week an assault to drive out the ISIL-affiliated fighters from Qandala, 75Km east of Puntland's commercial and port town of Bosaso.
