Ghana: December 7 Election 'Has Been Exceptionally Successful'

The Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC) has patted itself on the back describing the general elections, so far, as "exceptionally successful" after close of polls at 5:00pm Wednesday.

The elections were generally successful with only one case of postponement - in the Jaman North Constituency of the Brong Ahafo Region. Late start at some constituencies notably Afram Plains North Constituency resulted in extension of polls.
