The National Head of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation Lieutenant General Ntlemeza has welcomed the judgement handed down by the Kimberley High Court against John Fikile Block (49), former MEC of Finance, Tourism and Economic Affairs and his business associate.
The former MEC along with Alfeus Christo Scholtz (60), CEO of Trifecta Group/Holdings, were found guilty of fraud and corruption in December 2015. These charges are related to their involvement in inflating prices on the lease agreement between them and the Northern Cape Social Development Department.
