Angola: Consumption Increase and Tests Blamed for Power Cuts

Luanda — The increase in consumption and the conducting of tests on new equipment linked to the production network at Cambambe hydroelectric dam, in the northern Cuanza Norte Province, are the main causes behind the now frequent power cuts in Luanda Province, revealed last Wednesday the incumbent minister of Energy and Waters, João Baptista Borges.

The minister made such revelation at a press conference, at the site of the Cambambe dam, held to clarify the causes of the frequent power cuts lately in Luanda Province.
