Barack Obama's appointment to the White House was celebrated by Africa more than the Americans themselves. It was the expectant hope that a black man would fare differently and be sympathetic towards fellow black men, an expectation Obama never cared to entertain!He leaves White House today, paving way for Mr Donald J. Trump.
Unlike what Africans and other progressive forces expected, US' arrogance and hegemony got entrenched under his watch.
