Sudan: Investment Minister Reviews Laws and Investment Merits in Agricultural, Industrial and Service Sectors With Pakistani and Korean Investors

Khartoum — The Minister of Investment Dr. Mudathir Abdul-Ghani reviewed, during a meeting at his office Sunday, with the Pakistani Construction Company's delegation of investors from Korea, investment opportunities and climate in the country with respect to the laws and investment merits in the agricultural, industrial and service sectors, which he described as a good and encouraging opportunities.

The minister revealed the incentive packages granted by the State to the investors, particularly in the agricultural sector, which enjoys full exemption from taxes, the exemptions in the industrial sector approaches 90% and the service sector to 85%, stressing the desire of the state to attract Asian investments for their advanced experiences and their role in technology transfer, especially in energy, alternative energy and infrastructure projects, which the state is working to develop them in accordance with clear investment vision, pointing out that Sudan enjoys a high comparative advantage in the production of alternative energy, which represents a global trend reduces the cost of production.
