South Africa: Three Sister Struck, Killed By Lightning

KING WILLIAM'S TOWN: Three sisters aged 7, 10 and 18 were struck by lightning on Thursday 02 March 2017 at about 19:00 at Mantshilibeni Location, Vonqo Village, Dutywa. All three sisters were declared dead on the scene. It is alleged that the deceased were in a rondavel hut when lightning struck them.

The parents of the children were not at home when the unfortunate incident happened. The grandmother of the children was in a separate house. She was not struck by the lighting. Dutywa Police have opened an inquest docket. The identities of the deceased will be withheld until all their family members are informed of their death.
