South Africa: Armed Robbery and Murder

Muldersdrift SAPS are investigating a case of armed robbery and murder that occurred at a shopping centre in Roodekrans on Tuesday 2017-03-14.

It is alleged that two suspects jumped out of a vehicle that had parked behind the vehicle of the 54-year old victim at Feather Square Shopping Centre. The two suspects got into a physical altercation with the victim, while two other suspects waited behind the victim's car.

One suspect fired several shots hitting the victim in his upper body. The victim was declared dead on the scene.

The suspects fled the scene in a silver BMW and are still at large. The motive is yet to be established.

Community members are urged to please come forward with information that may lead to the arrest of these criminals.

Police are also urging members of the public not to confront the suspects since they are considered armed and dangerous.
