Nigeria: Equities Records N7bn Gain to Maintain Uptrend

Lagos — The Equities segment of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) closed yesterday on a positive note, as the Market Capitalisation added N7 billion to close at N8, 756 trillion

The NSE Al Share Index (ASI) appreciated by 0.07% to close at 25,284.56 basis points, as against 0.59% appreciation recorded previously. Its Year-to-Date (YTD) returns currently stands at -5.85%.

The summary of the market activities for the day revealed that, a total of 223 million shares valued at N2.1 billion exchanged hands in 3,196 deals.
