Global — On March 22, 2017, the global development community will commemorate World Water Day under the theme "Wastewater".

Not only is it an opportunity to highlight the linkages between wastewater management and the Sustainable Developments Goals (SDGs), but also an occasion to focus on the African Development Bank's new approaches to turn waste water into a source of wealth.

The AfDB will also participate, alongside financial and technical partners, in an event to be organized for the occasion by the Ivorian Government on March 23, 2017 in Abidjan, the economic capital. During this event, the Bank will showcase its flagship wastewater management projects in Côte d'Ivoire and support efforts by the Ivorian authorities to provide better wastewater management in the country.
