Zimbabwe: Govt to Empower Content Producers

Secretary for Information, Media and Broadcasting Services Mr George Charamba says Government will soon launch the Command Content Creation (CCC) programme similar to Command Agriculture, which will be key to the success of digitisation.

Addressing content producers from Mashonaland East province in Marondera, Mr Charamba said the CCC concept was meant to empower content producers as market for their content will be guaranteed.

He said Government was also set to introduce a uniformed forces channel under the digitisation programme, which would be dedicated to content produced by security forces.

Acting ZBC chief executive officer Mr Patrick Mavhura said they had done a lot in terms of content production.

He said the company was ready to work with external content producers, as it prepared for the digitisation programme.
