Nigeria: NBA Wants Appeal Court in Kogi

Lokoja — The Kogi State Branch of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) has appealed to the Federal Government to establish a division of the Court of Appeal in the state to ease the hassles lawyers and litigants go through in the dispensation of justice.

NBA made the appeal when it led a delegation on a courtesy visit on the Kogi State Chief Judge, Justice Nasiru Ajanah to solicit his support over the matter.

Leader of the delegation, Bar. Emmanuel Haruna, said an appeal court in the state would be most helpful as a huge number of the cases filed at the Abuja Division of the Appeal Court emanated from Kogi.
