P/Harcourt — No fewer than 1,000 people yesterday benefited from free eye treatment and other services in Rivers, courtesy of the Nigerian Navy in Port Harcourt.
The beneficiaries included the elderly, youths and children from Mgbu-Odohia in Rumuolumeni community of Obio Akpo Local Government Area of the state.
Commodore Sam Bura, the Commander of the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Pathfinder inaugurated the exercise tagged "Medical Rhapsody 2017" in Port Harcourt.
Bura said that correctional glasses would also be issued freely to those diagnosed with visual impairment.
