Somalia: MP Injured in Mogadishu Bombing

Somali Federal Parliament Member of Parliament Mohamud Abuukate was on Friday evening injured when a car he was driving in was hit by an IED.

Abuukate was accomapabied by two bodyguards who were also injured in the explosion.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack although in the past similar attacks targetting goverent officials have been blamed on the militant group Alshabaab.
