Governors and their deputies who governed Enugu State will never die paupers. This is because the Enugu State House of Assembly has passed a law amending the Gubernatorial Pensions Bill of 2015 and other matters connected therewith into law, thereby enabling governors and their deputies who are indigenes of Enugu State to take pensions for life.
The law, however, has a proviso that the governor or the deputy must not be impeached to earn such life pensions.
