Nigeria: Building Collapses in Lagos

Building collapse in Lagos.

A three-storey building under construction in Lagos has collapsed, trapping an unspecified number of people.

Rescuers are currently working to help the victims.

PREMIUM TIMES learnt that the building, located at number 6, Richard Abimbola Street, Ilasa area of the state, collapsed at around 2p.m.

The Lagos emergency agency said 13 labourers had been rescued from the building.

"Some are being treated by the agency's medical team and Lagos State Ambulance Service," an official of the agency said.
