Nairobi — The Baringo Member of County Assembly (MCA) who has been missing since last week has been found dead in Ol Donyo Sabuk.

The body of Thomas Loktari Minito of Churo Amaya Ward was found dumped in Matungulu sub-county on Thursday night.

Police say his body was decomposed beyond recognition but he was identified from documents found on him, including a URP party member's card.

The MCA had been facing charges related to incitement to violence in Baringo County where several people have been killed.

His body, according to police reports seen by Capital FM News, had an injury on his head caused by a blunt object.

The body was taken to a nearby nursing home awaiting a post-mortem.

The MCA had been linked to clashes in the area that led to the deaths of tens of locals, including women and children.
