Three people have died after a collision between a minibus taxi and another vehicle in Greenwood Park, paramedics said on Friday.

The two men and a woman were in a VW Polo when the accident occurred on the corner of Queen Nandi Drive and Rosary Road after 07:00 on Friday morning.

The car had five occupants, while only the driver was in the taxi with no passengers, said Rescue Care spokesperson Garrith Jamieson.

"Three of them died while one was transported to hospital with moderate injuries," said Jamieson.
