Uganda: Nalufenya, the Place I Call Home Sweet Home

I grew up in Nalufenya, the village I mean, not the detention centre. But my home is quite close to that infamous place all the same. About five or six minutes away. However, I had no idea it was what it is until much later in life. I thought security personnel just loved to stand by there maybe to admire the bridge, and make sure no one steals the water under it.

The next time we are comparing notes on who has the most amazing childhood, I might perhaps be able to make up stories about how as children we used to play kwepena near what is now an infamous torture chamber just to get audience.
