Uganda: 'Prioritize National Assessment Policy Among Education Reforms'

Since assessment is the act of judging or deciding the amount, value, quality or importance of something, or the judgment/decision that is made on an object, subject matter, person or situation, it is quite incorrect to think that Uganda's assessment system is fair to all.

The unfairness of our educational assessment system emanates from the fact that even though the disadvantaged learners are differently challenged socially and economically, assessment tools subjected to them are the same as those applied to the privileged at all levels.
