Morogoro — Tobacco farmers in the country will be assured of the local market as a leading crop buyer decided to construct a processing factory worth Sh60 billion in the country.
Philip Morris Tanzania Ltd which has been buying 34 per cent of all tobacco grown in Tanzania is now constructing a factory at Kingolwira area in Morogoro municipal. Leader of the Uhuru Torch race Mr Hamad Amour and the Morogoro District Commissioner Ms Regina Chonjo laid the foundation of the factory construction and expressed their optimism about the potential of the factory.
