South Africa: Police Arrest Three Suspects for Alleged Murder of Johan Botha and Friend

Three suspects were arrested following the murder of well-known producer, television presenter and radio personality Johan Botha and his friend.

On 7 June 2017 at about 19:20, four suspects, three men and a woman, entered the Zebra Inn Restaurant in Maboneng, Jeppestown where they shot and killed the two men during an armed robbery. They took two firearms and an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene.

Last night, 13 June 2017, two men aged 27 and 32 and a woman aged 19 were arrested. The woman was arrested in KwaZulu-Natal, while the men were arrested in Malvern, Johannesburg. The suspects will be appearing in court soon.
