Dar es Salaam — The Vocational Education and Training Authority (Veta) has partnered with Airtel Tanzania to offer five new courses through V-Somo -- a mobile application -- to youth.
The new courses are on catering and food service techniques, computer maintenance, industrial electrical installation, plumbing and auto electricity.
The two organisations have been providing other courses since last June. After completion of the courses, students are certified by Veta. Veta Kipawa ICT Centre principal Lucius Luteganya said during the launch of the new courses here that the increased use of V-Somo App had enable citizens in remote areas to access vocational training at lower costs.
