Zimbabwe: Dynamos Edge Ngezi Platinum 3-2

Dynamos edged a tough contest against Ngezi Platinum to move within three points of premiership summit in a league match played at the National Sports Stadium Thursday.

With the two sides looking to share the spoils, Cameroonian forward Joel Christian Epoupa made sure of all three points for Dynamos when he fired home eight minutes from full-time.

Denver Mukamba had opened the scoring for Lloyd Mutasa's side on the 29th minute with Terrence Dzvukamanja replying for Ngezi ten minutes later.

The visitors then took the lead in the second half through Dominic Mukandi only for DeMbare captain Ocean Mushure to ensure matters were even through a free kick with 15 minutes to go.

Mutasa was delighted with the win which moves his side within three points of pacesetters Black Rhinos.

"I think all along we have been talking about this fixture that probably for us to be reckoned as Dynamos we need to beat the contenders," he said after the game.

"I am happy the youngsters came to the party, we scored three goals and we collected three points. "Four wins in a row, I think it's a good progress for the institution."

For Ngezi Platinum, coach Tonderai Ndiraya was not happy with the wasted chances and his side's defending.

"Five goals, I thought the fans were in for a treat but a disappointing result for my team. We defended badly today," he said.

"We conceded three goals through lack of concentration. We started the game well. We dominated, we created some opportunities and that has been our way of doing things since the start of the season.

"We create so many opportunities but we fail to put them away. Dynamos got that goal against run of play and I thought we came back strongly and equalised, took the lead, but again our defending has been so atrocious in this game."
