Nigeria: Bauchi - Assembly Passes 37 Bills in 2 Years

Bauchi — The Bauchi State House of Assembly has passed 37 bills, 85 motions, 11 petitions, and 45 committee reports since its inauguration two years ago.

This was disclosed by the Speaker, Kawuwa Shehu Damina, at a Special Valedictory session held at the Assembly complex to celebrate the success recorded by the Assembly in the last two years.

He said the achievement underscored the determination of the members to impact positively on the lives of the people.

While speaking, the House minority leader, Markus Makama, representing Bogoro Constituency, said the leadership acknowledged the participation of every member devoid of party affiliation for contributing towards the development of the state.

The 31-member Assembly was inaugurated on June 15, 2015.
