South Africa: Teen Girl Allegedly Dumped Baby Son Into Pit Toilet in Limpopo

A 14-year-old girl is set to appear in court for allegedly throwing her baby into a pit toilet in Bolobedu, Limpopo police said on Sunday.

A passerby apparently noticed the six-month-old baby boy and called the police, said Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe.

Officers safely removed the baby from the toilet. He was taken to hospital for medical treatment.

Investigations are continuing.

The teenager will appear in the Bolobedu Magistrate's Court for attempted murder on Monday.
