South Africa: Bus Set Alight in Durban Protest

A small group of protesters set alight a municipal bus in Mayville, Durban, on Friday morning, KwaZulu-Natal police said.

The protesters are believed to be demanding land to build houses, provincial police spokesperson Thulani Zwane told News24.

The bus was empty when it was set alight, Zwane said.

He said a case of public violence has been opened, but no arrests have been made.
