Liberia: NEC Releases Provisional Listing

The National Elections Commission or NEC has released provisional listing of successful candidates from the ongoing Candidate Nomination process at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville.

The process is aimed at qualifying aspirants vying for both the House of Representatives and the Presidency in the impending October 10th elections. The NEC began the nomination process from June 19 - July 11, 2017, but subsequently announced a 10-day extension to afford all Independent candidates and political parties the opportunity to present nominations ahead of the polls.
