Liberia: 'Refrain From Invectives' - NEC Issues Early Campaign Warning

As the Chairman of the National Elections Commission (NEC) Cllr. Jerome Korkoya declared the opening of campaign ahead of the general election on October 10 this year, political parties have been warned to respect the Code of Conduct for political parties and work within the confines of the constitution of Liberia.

Speaking at the headquarter of NEC during the declaration on Sunday, Chairman Korkoya said that political parties should refrain from the use of invectives and obscene words against their opponents during radio talk shows, campaign speeches, and urged them to caution their followers to live within the scope of the law.
