Senegal: Mbour Petite Côte Wins 2017 Coupe Du Senegal

Mbour Petite Côte (MPC) have won the 2017 Coupe du Senegal after beating city rivals Stade de Mbour 1-0 in the final played on Saturday, 9 September 2017 at the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium in Dakar.

The encounter featuring two sides from coastal city of Mbour, about 80 kilometres south of the capital, Dakar, saw Benoit Toupane's 33rd minute strike making the difference.

It is the second time MPC, formerly called ASC Toure Kounda, have won the Senegalese version of the FA Cup, after their maiden triumph in 2010.

By the feat, MPC will represent Senegal in next year's Total CAF Confederation Cup. League champions, Generation Foot will battle for honours in the prestigious Total CAF Champions League.
