The United States stands firmly with Egypt after this horrific attack

The U.S. Embassy in Cairo condemns in the strongest terms today's attack in the Sinai that resulted in the reported deaths of at least 18 Egyptian policemen, including officers, as well as several ambulance workers, and expresses its deep sympathies for those killed and injured by this cowardly act of terrorism. The United States stands firmly with Egypt after this horrific attack. We send our sincere condolences to the families of those killed and wish a speedy recovery for those injured.
