Nigeria: International Peace Day - NGO Sues for United Nigeria

Makurdi — A non-governmental organisation known as the Next Generation Youth Initiative (NEGYII) yesterday called on Nigerians from all divides to sheath their swords and come together as a united people for purposeful development.

President of the NeGYII, Ambassador Johnson Onoja, said in Makurdi that his organisation was using the commemoration of the International Peace Day as a call to action to all citizens to internalize the values and culture of peace given that peace serves as a strong platform for development and prosperity in societies.

"No one is a better Nigerian than the other. We all have a common citizenship without any sense of superiority or inferiority," he said.
