South Africa: Suspect Arrested With a Large Quantity of Dagga in Lingelethu West

Western Cape — In their quest to target the crime generators of this province, members attached to the Operational Command Centre reacted on information from a reliable source and conducted a search operation at a residence in Town Two, Lingelethu West this morning. The intervention delivered the desired result when a 54 year old man was arrested for being in possession with a large quantity of dagga. The seizure comprised eleven waste bags filled with dagga as well as two drums with wrapped parcels of dagga. The exact street value of the dagga is yet to be determined. Once charged, the suspect is due to make a court appearance in Khayelitsha to face a charge of dealing in drugs.
