Nigeria: Senate Summons Baru, NPDC Over Controversial Contract

The Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions has summoned the Group Managing Director, GMD, of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Maikanti Baru, and Shell Petroleum Development Company, SPDC, over the revocation and re-award of Oil Mining Licence (OML) 13 allegedly without due process.

The summon came as a result of a petition sent to the Senate by the national coordinator, Global Peace and Sustainability Network, Longers Anyanwu.
