Conference On Land Policy in Africa (Clpa-2017)

Addis Ababa — On November 14, 2017, the 2nd biennial Conference on Land Policy in Africa, begins in Addis Ababa and runs through to 17 November.

The objective of the conference is to deepen commitment and strengthen capacity for land policy development, implementation and monitoring in Africa through improved access to knowledge and information in support of evidence based land policy.

The conference will showcase the work being done in different countries to improve land governance.

The African Land Policy Centre (ALPC), a joint programme of the African Union Commission (AUC), the African Development Bank (AfDB) and United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), is organizing the conference.

The theme of the conference is The Africa We Want: Achieving socioeconomic transformation through inclusive and equitable access to land by the youth.

The conference is open to media.
