Kenya: Candidates Found With Mobile Phones in Exam Room to Face Charges

Nairobi — Two students of Our Lady of Mercy Secondary School in Shauri Moyo, Nairobi are due to be charged in court Monday for exam cheating.

The two who are candidates in this year's Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations were arrested after they were found with mobile phones in the exam room.

Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi who visited the school Monday morning announced that the students will not continue with their exams and will be arraigned.

They were taken away by police and are expected at the Makadara Law Courts later in the day.
