Nigeria: Scores Trapped After Petrol Tanker Overturned in Lagos

Lagos — Scores feared trapped after an oil tanker overturned at Obodore area of Lagos State.

Those trapped are mainly mothers and their children.

They are said to be trapped in their houses closed to the scene of incident.

Some courageous residents of the area were said to have erected road blocks to prevent vehicular access to the road.

This is to prevent any outbreak of fire.

Rescuers from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), policemen, Federal Road Safety Corp ( FRSC), Rapid Response Squad (RRS) and officials of the state fire service have been mobilized to the area.
