Nigeria: 15-Year-Old Suspected Kidnapper Nabbed in Ajegunle

Lagos and Makurdi — A fifteen-year-old girl, suspected to be a member of a kidnap gang, was caught trying to abduct a little child at Boundary Market in Ajegunle area of Lagos on Tuesday. She was beaten severely and stripped naked by the traders, before she was handed over to the market leader, who in turn delivered her to the police.

The girl, whose name was unknown, told The Guardian she had stolen two children before and sold them successfully. This time, she had already taken the first child but ran out of luck when she was about to abduct the second child.
