Liberia: UN Women Reaffirms Support

The UN Women Representative to Liberia, Marie Gareth Nizigama has reaffirmed her organization's commitment to supporting all actions to breach the gender gap and promote the rights of women and girls in Liberia, particularly women's political participation and leadership.

She said: "We would like to acknowledge the passion, commitment and resilience of women in Liberia in participating in political life and leadership demonstrated by the women in white in mediating during the peace talks back in 2003."
