LOCAL contractors need to observe ethics and professional standards to compete with foreign contractors in major projects, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communication, Joseph Nyamhanga has said.
Opening a Contractors Association of Tanzania (CATA) meeting in Dar es Salaam over the weekend, he said contractors must focus on high standards of professional conduct and practice in their execution of projects and build trust and cooperation to expand their scope of work.
