Nigeria: PDP Chairmanship - Group Roots for Secondus

As the race for the chairmanship of the PDP enters its final homestretch, a South-south group, PopularView, has drummed support for Prince Uche Secondus, saying that he has all it takes to lead the party.

The group in a statement signed by its Chairman, Godswill Eseigbe, said of all the aspirants contesting the position, only Secondus can deliver his state and region in 2019. It said while Chief Olabode George and Jimmy Agbaje cannot deliver Lagos State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel cannot deliver Ogun State because of the influence of their governors. It warned that the current period is not a time to elect a chairman for the sake of it but one who can truly deliver. The group said while Secondus can deliver South-south and South-east, he also use his leadership skills to mobilise other chairmen in other zones to achieve success in other states.
