The Oromia Investment Commission has reclaimed 180ha of land from eight private investors after remaining undeveloped for over ten years. After the Commission conducted a series of investigations, the land was reclaimed from three zones of the region.
The Commission announced that the move was taken after trying to pursue and give necessary support for the investors in the hope that they would contribute to the developmental effort of the country by providing job opportunities to unemployed citizens in the region, according to Reshad Muhaba, commissioner of the Commission.
