Ethiopia: Punctuality, An Ethiopian Failing

It has been said that time is money, but its importance varies within every culture. For Ethiopians life moves at a different pace, thus, meetings or invitations are fuzzy. We may say that time is money, but the phrase "an Ethiopian appointment" has a taint of connotation that negates the value of time in this culture.

And that culture directly collides with that of the Americans. In the United States (US), unpunctuality has many consequences, yet it continuously amazes me that I still have to deal with the Ethiopian diaspora whose attitude has not fallen that far away from their native country's inhabitants.
