Lwengo — Government is to prioritise education as a major tool to fight against poverty and transform Uganda into a middle-income economy, Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi has said.
"Besides infrastructure, education will be a major sector in the country's development. Government is committed to creating an enabling environment for the provision of quality education," Mr Ssekandi said during a thanksgiving service for Kkingo Primary School in Lwengo District last week.
