Zimbabwe: Afreimbank Funds $70 Million Harare Power Project

Cairo-based Africa Export and Import Bank has approved financial support to Indian contractor, Jaguar Overseas, for re-powering Harare Power Station at an estimated cost of US$70 million.

Jaguar was awarded the engineering, procurement and construction contract for Harare Power Station five years ago, but has been struggling to secure funding for the project.
