Somalia: Prominent Somali Elder Passes Away in Mogadishu

Ahmed Dirie Ali, a leading Somali Elder has passed away in Mogadishu on Monday night following an illness. Late Ali who was the spokesman of Hawiye clan Elders' counsil died at Digfeer hospital after battling with undisclosded disease.

His body is expected to be airlifted to his hometown, Adado in central Somalia for burial. Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo and PM Hassan Ali Khaire have condoled on the death on the prominent Elder.
