Nigeria: Senate May Suspend Opponents of Election Sequence Re-Ordering

For alleging that the Senate targeted President Muhammadu Buhari in reversing the sequence of election to begin with the National Assembly and ending with the presidential election, 10 senators may be suspended from the upper legislative chamber next week.

To this effect, the Senate yesterday directed its committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions to investigate the veracity or otherwise of the allegation that the amendment of the Electoral Act was targeted at the president.
